Controller and contact

EIM Privé is a brand of EIM Ltd., Apt 5, 66 Old Theatre Street, Valletta VLT 1427, Malta. EIM Ltd. is the controller for the processing described here. For privacy questions or requests, email prive@eim.education. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Malta’s Data Protection Act (Cap. 586) apply.

What we process and why

Website visits

The hosting service may process technical request data, such as an IP address, browser information, time and requested page, to deliver and protect the website. EIM relies on its legitimate interest in a functioning and secure site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). The site’s own code does not use an analytics or advertising tracker.

Enquiries by email, WhatsApp or phone

If you choose an email link, your email application sends us your address and the name, contact details, role and message you decide to include. If you choose WhatsApp, you leave this website for WhatsApp; your telephone number, message and related service metadata may be processed by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy notice. The website does not send a message or your enquiry details to WhatsApp merely because the button is displayed. A phone call shares your number with us unless you withhold it, and we may note what you choose to discuss.

We use the details you provide to answer your enquiry and arrange a conversation. For an individual asking about a possible service, the basis is steps at your request before a potential contract (Article 6(1)(b)). For a professional or intermediary enquiry, the basis is our legitimate interest in responding (Article 6(1)(f)). Legal obligations may also require limited processing (Article 6(1)(c)).

You do not have to contact us, but we cannot respond without a contact method. Please do not send health information, children’s records, private family documents or other sensitive material in an initial message.

Access, providers and transfers

Authorised EIM personnel and providers needed for hosting, email, messaging and consultations may process relevant information. EIM’s institutional privacy policy also describes the possible use of Pipedrive for email enquiries and Google Meet for online conversations. We do not add an enquiry address to a marketing mailing list solely because someone contacts us, and we do not sell personal data.

Some service providers may process information outside Malta or the European Economic Area. Any such transfer is subject to GDPR Chapter V safeguards. You can ask us which mechanism applies to a particular provider, including an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses where relevant. External services, including WhatsApp, have their own privacy notices.

Fonts and cookies

Every page requests Gilda Display and Ysabeau Infant fonts from Google Fonts. Those requests may send your IP address and browser information to Google. The website’s own code sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Hosting infrastructure may use cookies or similar measures needed to deliver and protect the site. If optional tracking is introduced, EIM will provide information and a choice before it operates.

Retention

We keep an enquiry while answering it, considering a requested engagement and managing a related relationship. We then review whether it remains necessary, taking account of follow-up, legal duties and the time in which a claim may be made. Technical access records follow the hosting provider’s operational and security retention schedule. You can ask us what period or criterion applies to a particular record.

Your rights and complaints

Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may ask to access or correct your data, erase it, restrict its use, or receive portable data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If a particular activity relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Write to prive@eim.education; we normally answer within one month and may need to verify identity. You may complain to Malta’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner.

This website does not make solely automated decisions about visitors.
